I am a native South Dakotan and married father of two adult children and two grandchildren. In my graduate training I earned a Master’s in Counseling Degree from Arizona State University and a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas. I completed a pre-doctorate internship at the Des Moines Child and Adolescent Guidance Center.

I am a licensed psychologist with over 35 years of professional experience. I enjoy working with children, teenagers, adults and their families. Children and adolescent emotional and behavioral problems are my areas of specialization.  I work together with clients in a safe and private setting to identify the nature of their concern and then work toward solutions and the developing of coping and social skills, often using Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
