Trisha Miller, Ph.D.

Born and raised in South Dakota, Trisha recently returned to South Dakota after several years providing clinical services to children and families in Kansas and Oklahoma. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology (with an additional specialization in disaster psychology and emphasizing in children's mental health services) from The University of South Dakota in 2006. Trisha completed her predoctoral internship in Topeka, KS at Family Service & Guidance Center, where she chose to emphasize her work in early childhood mental health. She transitioned to Tulsa, OK for her postdoctoral work, wherein she provided services to young children and their families within Tulsa's Early Childhood Programs (Head Start and Early Head Start) for four years before entering private practice. In private practice in Tulsa, Dr. Miller continued to focus her practice on services to children and families.

Trisha continues to aim her practice at providing mental health services to youth and their families. She particular places emphasis on children under 12, though her caseload varies.  Trisha provides services to children struggling with social, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and/or situational difficulties. Trisha utilizes cognitive-behavioral, family systems, and developmental/play approaches, with interventions tailored to the particular child/family's treatment goals.

Dr. Miller provides individual therapy, family therapy, and psychological testing services. Dr. Miller is a member of the American Psychological Association and South Dakota Psychological Association.
